General consensus on 15300 pricing

What is everyones thoughts on how things have been swinging on these AP models? I'm after a 15300 and am seeing them back in the $30,000s. Anyone think these will hit the high $20s?

if economic growth keeps contracting, interest rates rising and China reverting to hard core communism, then yes it's possible

There’s a white dial full set that is sitting at 33K. It’s just a matter of time.

15300ST at $30K sound like a good buy.

Where can you find that in the US?

Moda has a full set serviced white dial for low 30’s. Sellers here are asking wild prices that are not respective of market.

Any bets on how 15300ST prices will track relative to 15400ST prices?

Not just "lower / higher", but I'm interested in the reasoning.

39mm is a better size, but the 15400 has a better looking dial (pops more) and clasp (except for the H series 15300).

I wonder whether AP made more 15300 and what the relative demand ratios are.

i can't see it tracking 15400s because there's still an option for 41mm which looks very similar and possibly will become more easy to get, but the only option for 39 is the jumbo

Currently debating pulling the trigger on a 2015 Naked Black Dial 15400 for very low $30ks. Would be trading in a Batgirl plus cash. Not sure if worth getting rid of the batgirl as it is a really great looking piece.

General consensus on 15300 pricing

15300 is my pick. 39mm is most desirable. I’m eyeing that white MODA deal too. I don’t think we’ll see 39mm basic again, other than jumbo.

If you need a little push.
Yes. I would.

I think 39mm is the sweet spot for the RO cases.

In my opinion yes. Some of the trusted sellers here list on moda also. I would say more diligence is required but same as with any large purchase. I’ve bought and sold on MODA including some higher end pieces.

If you have someone in Singapore that you trust, look here. Prices are in the toilet, and AP especially weak for now.

Are you open to any dial color? That will make things a bit easier for you in my opinion. If you want blue for example, that may be much harder.

Interesting. Out of curiosity, how much are you seeing some popular refs go for (15500 for example)?

Not sure about Blue dial, but I have seen black, white, and silver dials listed on MODA for the mid to low $40ks. I think prices are still on the downward trend -- Takuya has a slightly used 2022 43MM Stainless Offshore on his site for $36k (MSRP is over $40k). I was shocked to see one that low. I went to buy it but it was already sold. I have to imagine that as we hit end of year prices for used 15500s will be in the $30ks.

If the stock market and interest rates keep going in the current directions, that could be.

What are you waiting for? They have come all the way down, buy it.

Trust me, if it goes to the high 20's you will be too scared to spend money on a luxury item

Thanks. Yes I’m tracking MODA as well. There was a NIB 15500 that sold for 38.5k. There’s been multiple in the mid 30s, a lot of them sitting. We’re already in the 30s and it’s going to get worse (or better should I say, for us enthusiasts).

15400s are in the low $30ks and 15500s are in the high $30ks. I have to imagine there are some 15300s out there that are already in the high $20ks. I think we still have some more room for prices to fall. 26331s are being listed for low $40ks (but are not selling). In fact, most of the 15500s and 15400s I've seen have been sitting at current prices. All good news if you are a collector. Bad news if you are a flipper or buying as an investment.

Prices on MODA are a lot lower than our trusted sellers (at TRF) but I wonder what is the safest way to pay for the transaction.

MODA has to be one of the safest if not the safest platform to do a transaction. For even more security and a small fee the creator of the group will perform escrow until each party in the transaction is satisfied. When you buy you can run a reference check in the group to vet the person (some will even put up their own money if something goes wrong). I don't think the extra money the TRF sellers are charging is buying you any more security. I honestly wouldn't buy a grey market piece from anywhere other than MODA (and Takauya).
