my 5512 is my favorite sub, with the uncommon xtra long SCOC line...love the hacking movement.

My folks bought this for me when I joined the Navy in January, 1966.

At times it had a rough life, but was restored to this condition by RSC Dallas in 2006.

Not the same. On the MK1 (Type 1) maxi, the horizontal crossbars in the letter f and t of the depth rating are aligned. There's other differences in general. Here's a good explanation.
