Camera Equipment for Wrist Shots

I am seeing some very nice and clear/In Focus wrist shot and am wondering what everyone is using. I posted some still shots in the new member section and the uploaded versions appear of lower quality than the original. I used a Canon 7D with a 24-70 f2.8L on a tripod. Image size differs on postings as well - Is there a max size for new users that increases over time?

The size is set by the forum. It will not increase over time. We don't really want super huge pics that take forever to download.

If you want to, reference another site that has the big pics and warn people that they are big. Think about people on blackberries, iphones, etc. There are even people out there with modem's believe it or not.

Just read the forum rules about posting pictures.

Are you hosting your shots at a place like Flickr or Imageshack? I don't think there are any size restrictions uploading URL's from there. If you are using attachments, I think there are.

Your gear is top flight, but wrist shots can be tough due to the positioning of the camera and your wrist. It's hard to get everything situated. Try using the Liveview feature on your camera for precise focusing. The minimum focusing distance for that lens is excellent, so you can get the lens right in up close.

Camera equipment

There is so much information for one to read that I missed the image size section. Understanding that if I resize to 700x700 that is what will post otherwise the size of my camera shots will be reduced to the smaller size.
I was really wanting to know what people are using as it appears they are shots possibly at home before work or even from a work place.
Mostly just curiosity (i.e. point and shoot, DSLR, iphone etc.)
Thank You

I use a point and shoot Panasonic DMZ TZ1 on macro mode w/ a tripod. No talent required, I'm proof.
Here's an example.

I use a Canon 5d, 30d, 350d, or a G11....

I upload to Photobucket at their 1024 resolution jpg.
(I used to load at 800, but I have to keep up with Jocke)
