Yep, and I used a credit card. I have 2 avenues of approach, if it becomes necessary.

Well played sir. Well played.

I got scammed out of a few hundred dollars over Christmas from an online vendor and notified Chase (my credit card company) and as soon as 15 days went by with no contact and no merchandise they credited back. Heard nothing from the vendor ever since. They were selling fake Ugg boots in a website that was very well done.

The fact that another member is experiencing the same issue with this clown illustrates the value of going public. Other than death or coma, there is no reason for being non-responsive to a buyer.

Sorry to hear you have the same situation. What did you buy from him? Maybe a gold Day-Date? or a Gold President band?

I am happy to hear that paypal.com refunds the money if you file a dispute. I did not know this.

No way mate... I am so sorry for you, hope this gets sorted for sure. What is paypal saying & how much did you pay him?

His paypal is verified, it has to be linked to an account somewhere? Right?

Hi Flyer, my experience with him is in this thread:

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=396673

I didn't want to get into specifics earlier because I didn't want to hijack your thread.

I'm sorry Al but sometimes you need cheering up in misery. Of course I'm not trying to be funny on your expense.
I really hope you all get your money back.

How long time does it usually take for PP to refund the money I am out? I really feel for the other member who bought the 18K DD...the pits. :(

Cheers for a fantastic forum and great members!!

I think scammers should be public. Not to shame but to warn and collaborate response.

I wish you good luck in obtaining a refund. I was scammed for $14,000 a few years ago in the "For Sale" forum because I did not research the seller adequately. I spent many hours pursuing the seller and was able to get all of my money and watches back. (It was a trade plus cash deal.) I had a lot of help from TRF members as well as law enforcement, but it eventually came down to "threats of undesirable personal interactions" if I did not get satisfaction.

Even though you are not getting responses, I would continue contacting the seller by email or PM to let him know how unhappy you are. Almost certainly he is reading your emails.

Got the refund, i am both surprised and happy about it. Usually refunds dom't happen or at least don't go this smoothly. Thanks PayPal & may Matt Sandy burn in hell! 😄😄😄

Glad the matter appears to be resolved but wondering has the refund hit your account yet?

Only ask as the last paragraph from PayPal does concern me.
