I echo this having both myself. Keep the blnr and look for a 5 series Sub.

I am not concerned with the value of BLNR as much as the cool factor of it. In no way is it inferior to the SD43. I would drop a BLNR for an SD4K as IMO, it is a very special watch. But from an outsiders opinion, the 43 brings nothing that beats out the BLNR. These two come down to personal taste.

If you just don’t enjoy wearing the BLNR, move on. If you, like me just get bored and constantly need change, I’d fight the urge and stay put. Otherwise, the 43 is awesome!

If possible, buy the SD43 first before deciding to flip. Have them both for a week or two to decide if you really like one over the other. After that, make your decision.

The edge goes to the SD43, though.

Both if you can. If not, the SD43. Your a beach and water person. Without the polished links it gives that casual laid back look.

I personally wouldn’t. The blnr is perfection to me, the SD43 IMO has strayed too far from the SD line...too large, cyclops shouldn’t be there. That’s just me though.

Ive got both and never wear the sd43 as its looks a bit homage for my liking

If you like it and would prefer it to the BLNR the do so.

My advice would be to add at retail if you can and then make a choice with both in possession. You would be able to offload the SD without loss with little issue.

don't go for the hype, go with what you love......
on the side note, if you have a diver already, don't let go of your BLNR

I have both, however I find myself reaching for the SD43 more often. Both are amazing watches, but completely different in looks and weight.

I have a SubDate /BLNR /SD43 and original DSSD .All in all I would say design wise the SD43 is the best of all .
I would ad the SD43 and keep the BLNR.

I had both and sold both (biggest regret). Bought the SD43 back because of wrist presence. I am currently waiting for BLNR prices to drop to fix my regret. However, I personally like the SD43 better for me.

What I learned is don’t sell. Always add. When you get tired of a watch put it away and when the bug comes back it’s like getting a new one.

Interesting take on a watch with a bi-colored ceramic bezel, GMT function, and PCLs.

I personally wouldn't make the swap because the BLNR fits me better than the SD43 but both are great watches.

I would recommend adding as they are special pieces in their own right. Even though I own the SD43 now, I regret selling my BLNR a couple of years ago.

But a larger SD43 DOES mean larger lume, though....

I would, the SD43 has more balanced case/bracelet design.

I would pick the SD43 (50th Anv. SD), it's the Kermit (50th Anv. Sub) in the making don't miss it.

Add the SD43 first

Give time and see which u want to keep (because u said u love the blnr)

Sell the one u like less, if u cannot keep both.

Personally, the blnr doesn’t do anything for me. Love the sd43 tho.

I passed on opportunities to pick up the BLNR, but did not pass up the opportunity to pick up the SD43. I don’t regret this at all.

If you think there’s a chance of seller’s remorse with getting rid of BLNR, I’d hold off. If not, go for it, the SD43 is a wonderful watch.

Depends a lot on wrist size. The SD50 is big and honestly kind of uncomfortable if you have normal wrists and work on a computer a lot.

I currently own a 116600 and love it. I visited my local AD a few weeks ago looking for a SD43. At the time they did not have one. A few days later, I got the call and quickly purchased it. The watch is awesome! I really like the brushed bracelet over the polished center link version as on the BLNR. The larger bracelet on the SD43 is also choice! I agree to add rather than flip as I did.

I currently have a 116600 and love it. I went to my local AD a few weeks back looking for the SD43. Of course they were out of stock. About a week later, I got a call from the AD letting me know one arrived. I quickly snatched it up and feel it is a quality piece. They both wear completely different and really enjoy both options! The SD43 is more sporty where as the 116600 wears and looks more like a GMT/Sub, so I really don’t feel the need to get one of those anytime soon (unless my AD calls again and has one!!). I like the brushed bracelets better then the polished center links, so the the decision is easy for me. I agree to accumulate rather then flip if you can swing it!

If I could own only one, it would be the SD43. I like them both and they are very different watches, so you should save your money to own both.
