Scammed by scammed account of...

I just got scammed by this forum member mjclark32, he was a long time member here with a lot of feedbacks. Now his account got banned, so I know I am scammed by this guy for $2175.

Contacted my local bank, unfortunately the money was transferred, so bank could only filed report.

it is an unfortunate thing. lesson learned and either the account holder was a scammer or his account got hacked.

So sorry to hear about this. It appears that 'mjclark32' was a probably a legitimate member whose account was hacked. I searched old posts for the seller's name, and found this seller hacked an account 'acquanutilus' back in March. As buyers, I guess we need to consider that the seller could be using a hacked account.

before I made the payment, I google searched phone number, and email, nothing poped out.

Research shows mjclark32 first name is Mike and located in New Jersey. Should have been red flags.

Did you alert the MODs before posting? One of them probably read your post and just banned the account, to prevent someone else from being ripped off.

Actually I post this after I noticed this account was banned. it was 7:00 in the morning in California.

Member mjclark32 account has been banned until the authentic member can verify and reinstate, if desired.

This account was banned because of your report.

Also, in your report, you have been dealing with Hasan Chowdury, a known scammer and not the member associated with user mjclark32.

We ban all accounts that appear to have been hijacked by other individuals.

This same guy is linked to the Aquanutilus account in the other thread but he’s been posting a Rolex air king for a few months and still active.

Wow I'm so glad I saw this too, because this F'r was trying to hit me up for a $50K transaction....no wonder my TRF messages wasn't coming into him. I did send him an email but glad I scared him off by asking for his driver's license. Another f'n scum bag and I'm sorry you got scammed. I feel you we're both in the Bay Area too.

I wish there's a way we can get these horrible scam of life evil humans.

It is the same scam as the amazon "account locked out" and the others. You receive an email with a trade or "I have a Rolex for sale or trade" There is a link you have to click and it takes you to a page that asks to enter your log in and they got you.

My son got one from a fake amazon email and nearly got scammed, He clicked the link provided in the email and "logged in" as prompted, but he had a funny suspension and immediately changed his log in and password and deleted his credit card on file. Nearly immediately (the real) Amazon emailed him stating his credit card is not valid (for multiple purchases). If I get these emails, I always click the email address of the sender and you will immediately know if it's real or not.
