Wouldn't it be fitting for a "zero feedback" eBayer to bid $20,000 a few minutes before the auction ends and then string out the payment then file a dispute that the item is fake, etc...

Just sayin'

Hypothetical scenario: Somebody wins this watch for a silly amount of money and does not pay (after dragging it out). Isn't the worst thing that can happen to the buyer an unpaid item strike from Ebay (Whooohooo, I'm scared!)? The seller can't leave negative feedback as per Ebay rules. So he has to relist. Unfortunately the same thing will happen again this time with a different buyer.
And on and on and on. Do you think it's worth it for the seller to go through this over and over for a $20 watch?

Just a thought...

I think the seller is too arrogant, too proud, and too much of an a**hole to take it down. He's gonna ride it till the end if he can, just out of spite.

...even if it sells, I WILL have it INVALIDATED.

...in all honesty, I believe the team WORLDWIDE is either off or something has happened on eBay's end with the "taking down" etc.

...gotta trust me on this one guys.

I have to agree with you, Stan. I'm not an Ebay cheerleader, but they usually end these types of auctions once they are pointed out. At least in my experience.

Stan

Please make sure you invalidate this POS's sale. I know you can.

It can work if you're really careful and get the watch checked and rechecked. I've gotten two from there, including my infamous root beer GMT.

I agree with the others that something's wrong with their reporting system, I've never seen it take this long to get a fake taken down.

He doesn't see it as a $20 watch, he sees it as a windfall.

Hopefully he's not reading this and blocking you from bidding. I think a couple of us should be the top bidders to keep him from sending a second chance offer to someone else that doesn't know it's a fake.

Thought I'd try for a laugh and asked "coinedout" if he could guarantee the watch's authenticity. Here's what coinedout wrote back:

"This is a real no reserve auction. We have provided all the information that we have. There are no guarantees in auctions, if you are looking for a guaranteed authentic Rolex why not buy one from an authorized Rolex dealer?"

This guy is a piece of work. I can't believe the auction is still up.

His reply to me:

Dear zirotti,

They would be out nothing. They would get a beautiful watch in a auction.
If they wanted a Rolex that is guaranteed authentic then they should go to
a authorized dealer. But we have had the numbers checked the watch is fine.

Click on "report item". It's opposite the "description" and "shipping" tabs on the right side.

Select the "trademark/copyright" option from the first pull down menu. Select "counterfeit item..." on the second, and "counterfeit, fake..." on the third. In the description I left a note that the serial is associated with counterfeits and the watch is fake.

New guy here but I have been on eBay since June of 1998. Previously sold my DJ ( purchased by me from an AD) on eBay. It's guys like this that are ruining it for the rest of us. I reported this as well.
