Bracelet Problem?

I'm looking at a 16710 for sale. The bracelet appears to be made with solid end links (I believe it's number 78790a, but I can't tell from the pic). However, the watch has through holes in the lugs. Is this a valid pairing?

I've asked the seller about it and am waiting to hear back. Just wondering what you all think?

There were transitional ones around 2000 with solid end links and lug holes. That looks like a later bracelet, as it has the lug holes, and the sel cutouts, for the no lug holes case.

Have you checked the serial number dates, against the braclet date stamp?

There was a short period where an SEL bracelet (78790A) with end-links as shown was supplied on a watch with pierced lugs like this watch.

What is its case number?

The cases with solid lugs, denoted by a "T" suffix to the model number between the lugs (i.e. "16710 T") came very shortly after the SEL bracelets were introduced.

This pairing will likely be highly collectible in the future as it only happened for 3 or so years...
