Hello, I have been searching locally for this timepiece, I have someone that came to my office and had this one on a very reasonable price, supposedly with box and papers,
The piece looks good but I’m no expert and don’t want to be fooled
The only thing I don’t see very well is the lume, i thought it was more blue-ish

Let me know!

Thanks

Don’t know if I like the font on the 3 and the shape of the end link. Need better photos.

Who?

How convenient, one of the hottest watches today being sold for a "reasonable" price.

From here it looks ok. When you say reasonable price, what does this mean? In line with market value, or a screaming deal?

What I am getting at, is I have passed on legit watches before because the price was too far south... the watch is one thing, but a shady seller is another. Is the paperwork in guys name? Local AD sell the piece? Ect. Newer watches can often times easily be traced to ensure they are legit and paid for...

Watch looks fine from here, and the lume color is normal.

That said, I would be suspicious of its origin if the price is significantly lower than market value.

They charge a lot for that, imagine I had to pay money to check something to turn up to be fake

Who charges? Not Rolex, and not any decent watch repair guy.
Post a photo of movement here and we will also confirm or deny for free.

Take it to any decent watch repair person ask them to open, take photo of balance wheel area with watch hacked.
Also inside case back

Or go with freefly.
In my opinion watch is suspicious, and I would not buy it without further checks.
Its your call

Regards

Then spend $8560, take it to a dealer and figure out its fake. Which one is cheaper?

If its got box and papers I'd say its OK. Can you check provenance ie trace back to original owner?Shouldn't be difficult if current seller is 2nd owner. Nothing is immediately a red flag with the watch itself.

Certainly an appropriate time as ever to hedge your bet.

Spend maybe $100US and the watchmaker says it's fake. OP should be happy he didn't get conned out of $8k+. Alternatively, if the watchmaker says it's legit then OP gets to buy a BLNR at around $1500US below market value. Both of those result in a happy OP.

I don't know this watch very well, but it looks surprisingly good to me. The only thing that raised my eyebrow was one of the lume shots made it appear as though the blue portion of the bezel was overlapping the 8's interior. It doesn't appear in any of the other photos, so unless it's a different watch then it may just be shadow/reflection.

It's also possible it's either stolen or best case, the guy is trying to recoup what he bought it for a couple of years ago and isn't aware of market changes. I have a hard time believing that last scenario though...

A lot of people are quick to assume watches are fake because of their prices, and understandably so, but not everyone lives on the internet and this forum. This guy could be thinking he's the one getting the better end of the deal by selling at almost retail.

Because you know what to look for in a watch movement?

Good luck

Looks exactly like mine.

Get a loup or magnifying glass or macro lens and find the crown etched into the crystal.

Then get the papers and compare the SN.

And then if you're still not sure, take it to a dealer or watchmaker and get a professional evaluation.

And trust that over any interwebz evaluation.

In the 11/30 5:19pm post, in the first pic, the LEC at 6 o'clock, looks visible. Didn't think it was supposed to be that visible to the naked eye, but maybe the photographer got lucky.

Agree- I am betting this is a high-quality fake ( if you want to call it that).

Can you hear the movement when you shake it near your ear? If you can hear the winding wheel- it's a fake.

My guess is high-quality fake because of the serial number spacing from 8-6 p.m.; just does not look perfect the random serial plus incised crown seem to be VERY HARD for fakers to get just right.

IMO watch looks as it should look. Now, yes it could be fake with lots of gen parts HOWEVER before we speculate all possible scenarios I want to see the paper work of this watch. Once you have them make sure you check guarantee card under UV light for water marks. Or just simply go to a watch maker and he will do it all for you. I would choose 2nd option all day long.

Up to you
