Justin
If you hope for objective info you should try to post better pics
Without the hands blocking the text
Lugs
Crown guards
Close up of the dial
Caseback inside
Movement
...

Appears to be a correct Mk IV (some, many call it a Mk3) 1665 white dial which would be correct for a 7.2 mil serial. Better pics with hands not covering text would be helpful. Case looks nice and sharp from what I can tell of the two pics.

Here are some better pics. Hopefully all checks out as I own it! The crystal desperately needs some Polywatch and is distorting the dial. Dial looks good, I do see some very small white flecks which I assume are tritium.

Thanks for your help!

I posted for help today from a jeweler as I was not familiar with this reference. I am glad it checks out as I took a bit of a gamble not knowing exactly what I had but I trust the seller and it just looked legit. Needless to say I have been learning a lot about Great White's in the last couple hours.
I was told it was a one owner watch, unfortunately no papers to put in my closet.

I am very happy now that I can see the dial.

Well done - stunning. I think you did well, there. Up to you, of course, but I'd also source a matching pearl for the insert as it would be the cherry on the cake

as long as there's a cherry somewhere, does it matter?

BTW:

Phrases

a bite at the cherry
British An attempt or opportunity to do something:
the team had victory snatched from their grasp, and could well have had their last bite at the cherry
MORE EXAMPLE SENTENCES

a bowl of cherries
[USUALLY WITH NEGATIVE] A very pleasant or enjoyable situation or experience:
life isn’t exactly a bowl of cherries
MORE EXAMPLE SENTENCES

the cherry on the cake (or on top)
A desirable feature perceived as the finishing touch to something that is already very good:
the car is faster than a Ferrari, but the cherry on the cake is the price
