For us in USA it also means a new holiday season begins.

That giving thanks for another year on the planet - as well as celebrating the spirit of sacrifice so many have made to heal the ill, prevent infections and help the people in dire circumstances due to factors beyond their control.

We got home last night. It was just a total of seven. Just SIL family of 5 and wife and I.
On a good note, last light when wife was unpacking at home she found my license in a bag of assorted stuff packed for the short trip. Now I have to call airport and TSA and airline and ask them to cancel the hunt. Embarrassing

As per NY rules We took a test in S.C. Wed which we should receive results online today or tomorrow( if they post on Sunday) and when we landed in NY last night after we picked up our luggage we were greeted by quite a few Army and USAF personal in camo to fill out our covid forms and wife and I signed up there for our mandatory tests, our appt is Monday evening for that test.

We avoided contact with everyone and we carry plently of hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes for the plane and whatever needs a good debugging. We also took our thermometer with us to check our own temps twice a day. So far so good. Fingers crossed.
Thanks and you and yours stay bug free also. Happy holidays
