5960p black vs 5980 Rose leather strap

Hi guys. 2014 is coming to an end and I am itching for a new patek. Taking money out of the equation what would you choose and why? 5960p vs 5980 rose leather strap.

Those pictures by Ken do more harm than good... to my wallet.

Logan I chose the 5960p out of the two. The black dial as you know is so cool and I love the white font inside the apertures. Also since it is the last version they made puts it over the top for me. 5980R is great as well. If any chrono was offered in the poll I would suggest 5070J or 5070R just because that is my fav style PP Chrono and the P is way out of my budget. Sorry for going outside of the two

Of course black P Logan! Platinum Patek and so few made vs others. To me it is the best of the best. Cheers,

Am not a fan of any Nautilus on strap. I also think the 5960R has more warmth than the P. The combo of a thick rose gold case and a low gloss black leather strap is killer IMHO.

That is an amazing reference. Problem is I have 5205 in rose gold black face. Very similar in my eyes. Thank for the nice suggestion.

I agree 1000% Mike. Since the black face has a small production run... is a no brainer. Still debating this nice problem to have.

Thank you for your input.

5960p black vs 5980 Rose leather strap

Do you currently own a Nautilus ? If the answer is No, go with the Nautilus of your choice.

If the answer is yes I would recommend this to pair it with your 5205R

I would prefer the 5960p, but as you have a perpetual calendar chrono already, the 5980 might be a better fit than an annual calendar chrono.

I have vote for 5960P, as IMHO the Nautilus on straps aren't comfortable. I think the 5960P black dial is killer and it should be a good investment piece in years to come.

Choice is simple...*** gotta go 5960p. *** can always wait for the 5980r.

BIG CONGRATS!!! In advanced.
