I wish I could answer. Don’t know either. Just reporting what I know.

Hopefully more tomorrow.

Pretty sure they never meant to release info about the CK early. Unfortunately, the power of social media spoilt their best laid plans.

....and I was just going to applaud them on the restraint on LE releases this year...

The WaveDial--sorely missed.

The last gen Seamasters were sad clowns. A complete faux retro disaster.

The Seamaster is cool again.

For what it is worth, it was actually sent to me. So I have it. And the email from my contact said, that Omega asked their staff to only send it to people they trust. And it says all over it, "for internal use only".

furthermore, if I were reading this, I would have the same reaction as you. BUT, I would also want to know if more interesting things were coming out.
It’s funny you said that because I got a letter from Omega the other day, but I didn’t open it as I assumed it was a reminder to check out the website to see the new releases. Maybe I’ll have to open it.

There's a thread on omegaforum with photos of new wavy dial ATs, updated globemaster and what looks like a gem studded moonphase speedy with a white face.

Is this what the OP is referring to?

Well folks, I asked in person last night.

I got a resounding no. And I respect that from them.

Personally, I don’t get what people here are whining about.

When I hear a sequel to a movie I liked is coming out, I’m excited. I’m not pissed that I have to wait to see it. I’m looking forward to learning more and eventually seeing it.

This type of behavior only makes people keep whatever information they have to themselves in the future. It’s just not worth the potential backlash.

I just don’t get it. I’d personally be grateful for whatever information I did get.

I don’t understand their strategy of only revealing some of their new content online and apparently more at the Basel show, and then trying to limit the release of the information.
Odd plan.
I guess I’ll wait. I have to wait to read my letter as well. Maybe a secret website.
This is as dumb as applying to get the LE last year.

I agree. Very odd marketing... or lack thereof.

You’d think that Omega would want to reveal everything at Basel in order to drum up as much hype as possible, regardless if the watch is a LE or not.

Fully agree and that's why the sarcasm in my post above. They're criticized for the number of LEs, and while other brands are unveiling new watches we're supposed to wait for them as if anything really special would show up. Embarrassing.

If it means anything....I did hear from the grapevine that Omega is moving itself away from Basel and having an event/display of their own annually to show new releases. Don't know if their behavior lately @ Basel has anything to do with that or not. Time will tell.

I wonder if this is Omega's decision or if The Swatch Group has something to do with it.

Speaking of The Swatch Group, I could see them having their own annual event. They have like 20 watch brands under their name and that's certainly enough for their own event.

Sort of like Richemont and SIHH. They managed to get a few other nonRichemont brands to tag along and now it’s a pretty legitimate show. Richemont, Swatch, and AP at SIHH vs Rolex and PP at Basel.

Thanks for the heads-up Seth. I look forward to hearing the news when you’re able to tell us.

But... do any of the new pieces happen to start with “Speed” and end with “master”?

Hey Seth, thanks for the heads up. Let's hope the yet to be revealed pieces cause more impact than the ones so far.

As for some comments, we've had a lot of new members lately, and it takes some time to learn who's who in the forum. I completely believe you and am glad you're sharing.

Pics from Omega Forums, so at least the folks coming to this thread have something to look at.

Is that green on the dial?
