I'm in the market for one. I ll try at the ad, but I do not believe they will entertain 35% discount... 10 to 15% should be easy, aiming for 20. Added to vat exemption, this should bring it to a more reasonable amount. Will try to report back.

Something I noticed though, asking at a local ad in my country, they tell you the regular price, they are quick to waive the taxes (so 15% give or take)... For sure its not reassuring on how it will hold its value, but then again, what does (except those whatches I'm now too tired to mention)

I had a Chronomaster triple date. Fantastic watches and movements, really well put together. If you’re planning on keeping it a while just bear in mind the rather high cost of servicing if done with Zenith.

I think the JLC Polaris is the best looking watch of the bunch.

the issue with Pam is ; that every time I see a good watch they say it is discontinued. that also sound a little strange.
the new models with the blue seconds are nothing for me

Loving mine! Had it about 4 months. Their aesthetics are hard to beat along with the El Primero history

I've owned the 1969 reissue for many years now and it's been a solid watch!

Here's a pic to help you make up your mind ;)

Really love the fit and look of the watchs....service is pricey if you use Zenith but there are others who service them as well.....but remember it is a high quality chronograph and will cost more than a typical date or gmt to service.

As a Rolex fan who doesn’t love the Daytona, El Primero checked a lot of boxes. I have been thinking about the Defy 21 with blue strap. Not the best image but a real beauty on the wrist. Dial is quite clear and legible in person

I have a Rolex sub and really getting tired of waiting for the Pepsi. I have been interested in some other brands such as the Zenith el Primero and IWC. However some of their chronograph models are huge. I have 7 1/4” wrists so 42mm is the biggest I can go but not at 15mm thick. Is the el Primero still available in 38mm or is that a discontinued model? Their website is not easy to navigate. Also I connected with a dealer in North Carolina that appears to offer 20% off. Any info or guidance would be appreciated.

I agree, it’s a great looking watch and for me, the perfect size. However, two things stop me from pulling the trigger:
1) the star on the end of the red chrono hand (looks tacky imo)
2) ‘El Primero’ isn’t printed in cursive font on the dial (BRING BACK THE CURSIVE!!)

Please make these two small changes Zenith and you’ll have a guaranteed sale!

I agree with both of these. The star on the Chronograph hand is not for me and it just reminds me of the Soviet Union.

Purchased a Zenith El Primero 42mm 03.2040.400/69.M2040 on steel bracelet over the Rolex DateJust 41 a year ago and don't regret it. The center polished links are just flashy enough without being over the top, starts a fair number of conversations with people wanting to know what it is and is my go to dress watch. As other's have said, just don't purchase it at full retail.
