Got the call. Phew!

Surprisingly just had the call for a 126711CHNR that I asked to be considered for only 6 weeks ago.

Really looking forward to it but I must admit I’m already thinking about the scratch magnet polished rose gold centre links are going to be

Any Rootbeer owners here that can share their experiences at all?

Did it live up to your hopes?

Does it look as good on the wrist for you as it does in pics?

Are you happy with it?

Personally I’m really excited to get my eyes on what I think is a really beautiful and imo elegant watch despite it being a sports watch.

You look at it wrong and it scratches. Seriously man, it will look like hell in matter of weeks.

I'll save you the pain though, just shoot me a PM and I'll take it off your hands at retail so you don't have to worry about. That's what community is all about and why it takes a village.

BTW.. Congrats

ALL PCL's scratch whether SS, Gold, or Platinum

Just wear it and over time you will care less and less

And yes the RB is a helluva nice watch. Had the big brother 715 for a few years. Loved it. I just wanted to see other people so out it went

It’s a beautiful watch. I stopped caring about the scratches on mine and just enjoy it. Maybe every year or two, polish the PCL to refresh it a bit.

I dont have a Rootbeer but I have a 5CHNR. Its going to get scratched just like any other watch. I dont really think about how scratched it looks. A scratched watch is a loved watch and that's the bottom line because stone cold said so. Congrats on your 1CHNR.

It was my first ever Rolex, bought a few years ago. From the get-go I told myself I was buying it to WEAR it and not overthink the daily wear and tear on it. Wear the scratches with pride!

Just like anything with polished areas it’s going to have those scratches. First few will catch your attention then they all blend in. I say this owning a Rootbeer for a few years and I wear it even doing yard work sometime.

I'm not a fan of:
1. TT
2. Brown bezels
3. RG
And I don't know if I'd ever own a GMT.

However, this one fires on all cylinders and just plain works better than most of the GMT line. Congrats!

Congratulations. It's a great watch. Onec the PCLs have hazed up a bit your watch will be unique and it won't look bad at all.

Its a watch I never thought I would want and was offered it many years ago from my AD. I went to look at it and loved it, had it ever since. It does scratch but the gold hides it better than SS in my opinion. And keep in mind, it can always be returned to new again upon service if you like. Its meant to be worn, enjoy it.

Congrats OP. Love the CHNR and wear the heck out of it. Scratches are normal, and in 10 years when you send her in for service, they can polish them all up like new again.

Wash, scratch/ding/rinse, and repeated :)
