Shopping for a blue Super Ocean Heritage II, is this a good deal?

This is the 42mm version. AD is giving it to me for $3500 brand new. Should I jump on it or is $3500 the norm for this watch? It retails over $4600 on Breitling’s site. Thanks for your input.

I looked at Jomashop website and they have one for $3,760 (if it is the same one) so I would say it is a good deal. Plus AD will give you Breitling’s warranty.

Great deal, just take it up. I'm planning to do the same and love this model! It has 70 hour reserve and Tudor in-house movement!

Now that I stopped laughing from prior post, yes, from an AD, fantastic deal.

Not unless you 100000% love it.

Breitlings are cold cold cold at the moment and you might not be able to move it if you change your mind.

Good price but might be hard to move, the most important thing is that you like and want it.

If you are looking to sell it, what others have said is not Earth shattering news for just about any watch brand.

If you are looking for a fantastic watch, that looks amazing on your wrist, with an in house movement collaboration with Tudor, at a fantastic price point, nothing will make you happier than his watch. The ceramic bezel is beautiful and nothing to be envious of the one on my Rolex.

It is a stunning looking diver that wears nice for any occasion. Would never consider getting rid of mine so couldn’t care less if hard to move or not. BTW, this is currently one of Breitling’s best sellers. Mine has been discontinued after a short run. No more silver dials.

Based on your wrist size, you may want to look at the new 44mm size as well. They now have 42, 44 and 46.

For what it’s worth, I traded a blue 2016 46mm super ocean heritage 2 to a TS for $2000 last year.

That sounds about right, 50%.
I guess I’ll never understand the concern for trading in/investment, yadda, yadda.
I buy a watch because it calls me........and has been calling me for a while. Once I buy it, it will stay with me for the rest of my days on this Earth. Any resale value it may have will not be my concern from 6 ft. under.

I'm a sucker for Breitlings, even though they are too big. Looks like a good size for you. If you don't have another watch in mind, sounds like a great deal!

That's exactly what I paid ($3,500 out the door) for my SOHII at my local AD. Same exact watch (42mm blue face on shark mesh). I haven't been able to take it off since I bought it. IMHO, it's the best looking Breitling in the entire lineup. At this price, where else can you get an in-house Tudor movement with 70 hour power reserve on a diver that looks so good? This is a keeper, so not worried about resale in the least. I'll take this thing to the grave before I part with it for $2K...

Cold or not, Ive always loved this line from Breitling. I bought the 46 when it came out about 10 years ago and have worn it regularly ever since! (with very few issues, I might add)

The new 44's look great and I have to admit that Ive considered picking one up in blue...

All in all, its a great looking watch at a reasonable price point. If your AD is offering a decent discount, pull the trigger if you like it!

Breitling classifies it as an in house movement which means you get the 5 year warranty.
