Any idea why I can't amend any of my posts - eg if I've made a spelling mistake?

It says I don't have permission to do this, but in the summary box on the bottom left of the screen, it says that I can . . .

You can edit your posts for up to 100minutes from making your post. This gives you a substantial editing window. After that your post will not be capable of being edited.

If I have an item FS and it sold, how do I change the thread title?

Ask a mod to do it for you, or just post another thread saying it's sold.

I'm still not able to edit any posts - even if I spot an error seconds after adding it to the thread. I still get told that I don't have permission to do it. I have to refresh and log in again.

Not a big problem, but strange that I am supposed to be able to do this task within 100 minutes. Maybe I am still not doing it properly.

Strange....

As soon as I catch a spelling error to a post I had JUST made, it is easy to edit. As soon as you make the new post, there will be an edit button at the bottom right of the page right next to the quote button. Just clock the edit button and you can be able to modify your post.

Maybe this will help:

As Steve has said, this can only be done for 100 minutes (1 hr 40 minutes) then the editing capability is disabled for that specific post.
