Links for Datejust 1603

My Mother and Father bought this Oyster Perpetual Datejust for me in 1968. From research I believe it is a 1603.
My wrist has become bigger with age and so the bracelet at maximum extension is still too small.
Went on Ebay and bought 3 links, described as:
"Vintage Rolex Stainless Steel Jubilee Folded Bracelet Links For 1501 1601 1603".
The links arrived a couple of days ago. The width seems OK but the links are lighter gauge than on my watch and you can see from the attached photos are of a different design.
Where did I go wrong ?

The links on your watch are not "folded link". You want links for a bracelet with the stamped part number, likely on the clasp such as 62510H. The rolled links you show are likely the earlier 6251H.

Looks like Rolex USA bracelet. Had same on my 1603 years ago. Links are different than Swiss so you'll have to find ones specific to that band. Try WTB ad. And include pic as in this post.

They are called oval links, probably US made. Here are some on ebay, there are more but these seemed DNA free :)

Just noticed those are aftermarket, had no idea they were available...no wonder they looked dead cell free! lol

Just a possibility ...

Hey mate,

I'm fairly certain I have the opposite problem. As I recall, I have a folded link jubilee bracelet in my spares that has been extended with a section of oval links (3 or 4 oval links from memory). I remember being disappointed when the bracelet came in, the repair hadn't been declared by the seller and wasn't obvious in the pics .

I'm back home tomorrow, will check and talk to you then. Might be an option for swapsies

JB USA made Bracelet 218/0US links with spring bar

You have a bit of an issue in that the US bracelet shown has a spring bar within the link only on the twelve o'clock side. This is where sizing links will need to be added. The spring bar that exists would need to be in good working order to free the link section, even if you were to find the required additional links which would also need working spring bars. If you find appropriate links buy one additional so that you would have an additional link spring bar in case the one on your bracelet fails.
