Help with my New 1675 GMT
Hi there, I just acquired my first vintage Rolex and wanted to get your opinion of my 1973 GMT. I picked it up from it’s original owner who said the the watched was serviced over the years but kept mainly original. Dial looks good but the hands seem to have aged differently. Came on a 78360 bracelet with 580 end links. Let me know your thoughts and I appreciate any feedback.

My thoughts are - Its yours!
But depending on the price: its a hooked 2 insert and should be replaced immediately, post haste. Later bracelet and endlinks. Lume on the MKII dial looks a little flaky. This coupled with the lack of lume on the GMT hand suggests you might want to have a watchmaker look at the movement and also make sure whomever had it before you had the lume that flaked off removed from the inside of the watch. I don't know what you paid but it needs work, which is fine at the right price -its a vintage piece... |

I like it! Looks like an honest example with a little wear and tear. I believe the bracelet is correct based on the numbers, although as I write this I'm thinking it's a later model bracelet but still used for GMTs. Based on the year of the watch it might be more correct with a 7836 bracelet or a 7206 (80 endlinks? IDK) with the rivets. Strange GMT hand with Black lume or is the tritium knocked out? Insert is a fake, you can tell by the hook on the 2s. Dial and hands, I have no idea, too fuzzy but there is definitely something going on there too. Are the hands yellow gold? If so not correct. That's all I got but let's wait for the real experts, whom should be along shortly after they read my erroneous description...

Your comment on the possibility of "black lume" found on the strange 24-hour hand made my day.

Hahahaha! My comments are always a mix of nearly accurate to ridiculous. Although I suppose a broken clock is still right at least twice a day but maybe not a GMT.

It all depends on the price in which you got the dial.
