Help with 1675 hands!

Pictured you have a 1978 mk5 (left) and 1973 mk2 (right). The right 1675 probably has replaced hands (slightly whiter than the hour indexes), while the left 1675 has its original hands (full history known).

But what really bothers me is how bright and shiny the metal is on the newer/replaced hands!! Study the picture. What metal was used on 1675 hands! Is it just the age difference, and the metal will also patinate over time, or are replacement hands of a different metal? The replaced hands look almost too bright and new for a vintage gmt.

Anyone with knowledge who can share?

Anyone with a set of original tritium hands for sale (that matches the watch on the right)?

The hands are made from brass, then rhodium plated. The aged appearance is simply from time and handling, so I would expect the new set to be shiny for a good period of time.

Not uncommon for the hands to tarnish a bit on these 1675s
