Question for the TT haters

Do you feel the same towards the CHNR?

My personal opinion is if you’re going gold, you might as well go all the way.

All gold CHNR is my choice, however my wallet may regret it.

Easy to say that but the price difference is more than double. Thats big big coin to drop $30k+ on a watch. More than many people's 1 year salary

I like it but not enough to buy it. I would rather have the BLRO SS or CHNR RG

I’m not a TT hater! I think the CHNR, bluesy, and the TT skyD white dial are stunning watches!!

You need to remember for every TT hater there is a TT lover

For every PM hater there is a PM lover.

Moral of the story buy what you like and what you will wear. Are you buying the watch for yourself or for a bunch of randoms on the internet? LOL

I have no hate, but I do have preferences. For most daily situations I prefer SS. That said, I love the CHNR. IMO it is one of the nicest looking watches in the GMT line. Would I trade my LN for one? Absolutely!

No - I really like the CHNR RG/SS

The only other TT I like are 16713 Rootbeer and YM RG/SS with Chocolate sunburst dial.

Why does it have to be explained over and over and over and over as to why the CHNR is a different watch from a normal YG TT? God, why are the same threads asked over and over on here (like a day apart) and people expect answers to be different from one day to the next?

So I used to be a big fan of TT. Growing up my grandfather had a TT Daytona and at some point it was a grail watch for me. In 2017 I upgraded my pre-ceramic sub date to a brand new 116610LN and at the same time I bought a TT Datejust. Mind this was probably a month before the Rolex shortage and was able to get a discount on both pieces from my local AD (1st picture). That was a gift to myself for my 30th. Now almost 2 years later i realized the TT was neither here nor there. That when i decided to sell the Datejust and use the money towards the all YG sub 116618LN. I just picked up that watch from the same AD 3 weeks ago also at a nice discount. Moral is if you’re into gold, save up and do it right or stick to SS which is still a great look.

I really like the CHNR. Having seen a video of the new TT Sea Dweller, I really like that too!

I have a TT DJ and love it. Perfect everyday watch that also dresses up with some flashiness while not being as all out as yellow gold (which I also like). Conversely, I very much dislike the CHNR. Mostly I don’t like the brown on the bezel. Would never buy it.

TT is the best value buy in Rolex world.

Discount likely
Available

Have a Blue TT Sub and a TT DJ II with champagne diamond dial.

I can sell the DJ now for much more than I paid for it since I got a huge discount a few years ago .

So go on and buy the blro and daytona at the grey asking price ....

I’m not a hater, just not keen on yellow gold. I feel it looks brash and It doesn’t suit my milky skin

The CHNR is warmer, but I’m still not convinced

Two tone now sits in a precarious position price-wise because of the inflation of stainless steel on the secondary market. A two tone Submariner Date is only a few grand more than a stainless steel one on most grey dealer websites.

As far as looks, I think two tone looks good in particular models and less so in others. It depends on the dial and construction of the remainder of the watch. Two tone is a nice option if you wear both yellow gold and white gold/platinum jewelry. I used to own a two tone Navitimer and it looked fantastic with the brown crocodile strap and white dial with gold subdials. Other two tone Breitlings look terrible in my opinion. I think it all depends on the model... I will say that almost any time Rolex uses precious metal, it just radiates in a way that other brands cannot capture even if the overall look isn't for me.

What's the difference other than the type of gold?

I don't like any two tone Rolex watch with the exception of the CHNR. That one I love.

I can't stop loving my TT CHNR. I think TT haters should take a look in person before passing judgment.

I personally love a little gold in my watch and the RG is subtle and warm - goes from a dark coppery gold to a bright whitish gold.

I don't hate anything, but I don't like any TT, including the CHNR. Not even a little bit.
