Yea mine is still saying in progress also. I know some have gotten shipping confirmation, so let’s just hope they had about 1000 watches to send out without the man power to get them all done the same day.

Just got an email saying the following:

"Hello,

Thank you for your recent purchase of the Seiko Limited Edition Alpinist! We truly appreciate your support and can’t wait to deliver your watch to you soon.

We received overwhelming response to this launch yesterday and our warehouse is working through orders as quickly as possible. Your watch will ship within two to three business days, so you will have your watch in hand very soon.

Once again, we look forward to delivering your watch shortly. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reply to this email and our team will be happy to help.

Thank you!

The HODINKEE Shop Team"

Looks like my order is still on track, but will take a few more days. No worries.

For sure.

Better to know that we are getting them, but there is a slight delay.

After a couple of years, I finally get the picture: the watch industry runs on arbitrage.

Listing has been removed as the seller doesn't have the watch in his possession, as per the rules.

Saw that, too. Just kind of irks me since this is a pretty nice reference (sad they decided to do a limited edition) but there are always those that just flip it.

I don't think these will ever fulfill the kind of flipping prices people are looking for right now.

Nice!

Managed to grab one from Hodinkee.

The strap here clearly looks black. The one on Hodinkee looked almost like a very dark blue.

Congrats on getting one from!

Hodinkee's strap looks black on my calibrated monitor. Was sooooo bummed to miss the Hodinkee 600 ltd ed version, my friend just alerted me they made more available so got one :)

Only 1959 from Seiko available starting right now. i doubt they'll last more than 48 hours.

Dang that’s a beautiful watch! I still have my green dial that I bought years ago when I first got into watches. One of my favorite purchases ever, even to this day.
