threadlock application method

what's the best way to apply threadlock (purple locktite) to the threads? was thinking to use a sewing needle. any other suggestions?

I use my smallest screwdriver, and just wipe it clean after use.

Don't forget that you want to apply the liquid to the FEMALE threads of the link, not the MALE threads on the screw....

If you do the latter, you run the risk of getting LOCTITE on the inside of the link and that could spell trouble...
