Patek Aquanaut 5167... mini review
afternoon guys
i've had this for a few weeks now so about time i uploaded some snaps. so far my impressions of the 5167 are... - feather light - goes with any attire, casual, formal, you name it - dial is huge and airy. loads of real estate and the 40mm seems a lot bigger than it actually is - rubber strap extremely comfy despite not having any micro-adjustment (and i've gotten used to that after fitting all my rolexes with Sub C Glidelock clasps - i removed four slots from each end and it is slightly loose which i like - rotor, took a bit of getting used to the fact that this one actually makes a bit of noise! but it's a great noise. sometimes i give it a bit of a spin if i'm on a call or on the train home - vrooom vrooom - lume: this actually works!!! the dial has definitely been designed with legibility and accessibility in mind - it's great having a bit of diversity in the collection and this one flies right under the radar - attracts little attention which i like - the only attention i've had has been from people who said it was very elegant and gentlemenlike (and they'd never heard of PP ) - sapphire case back is something else, you can sit and admire the movement for hours. it's really something else anyway not going to bore you any more with this mini review, here are the snaps thanks guys

I really, really love this watch. I've had it on my wrist and it almost didn't want to come off again. Except for the fact that the owner wanted it back :p.
It's just an amazing watch. I really do hope I can manage to save up for one of these in a few years. P.s. it looks great on a mesh as well ;-). |

Rather like the Aquanaut. Looks great on you Anders.
Did you compare it against the Nautilus? If so, what made you to go with the Aquanaut? |

i think i've had it for 3 weeks now... remember i tried it on in Sydney over Christmas and that was that - had to get it! you need to get it back! I'll be posting pics from now on and until you buy one!! Quote:
i also want an AP RO as that's the Genta design i like the most.... having said that the Nautilus would be a sweet addition but there are other watches i'd rather have...

Anders, you know my views on this lovely Patek.
I loved my time with the 5167 and found it a great all round piece. Believed I would have kept it, if I hadn't set my sights on the new (at the time) Patek 5205G :)

Very nice pictures. The watch looks great, but I'm probably most impressed with the deployant design.
