What do Rolex fans think of the Snoopy 50?

I’m sure everyone heard the news on Monday what Omega dropped.

Very curious what Rolex fans think of the watch?

https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/w...ersary/product

For me:

- Fan of many brands, with Rolex Omega GS in my collection

- Absolutely love the Snoopy 50.

I love the dial and bezel and the back may be a bit gimmicky but that will probably help it make its value skyrocket.

That said, this watch will be extremely familiar to Rolex fans in that a) you can't get one unless b) you are willing to sell a kidney and buy one on the grey market.

I don’t believe this watch will be a limited edition so in theory should be easier to get hold of

Call me crazy but I kind of roll my eyes every time there is a new Special Edition Speedmaster. Very fatiguing

That said I LOVE the regular production Racing Co-Axial.

I love it. Already have the the 45. I put my name with an OB in August but I guess people called just after it was announced and put down deposits. Now they are taking any more deposits so I guess it will be awhile

Thankyou for the heads up - the previous version is killer and every day gets more unobtainable. Will be interesting to see how this one goes....

I think it's a fantastic piece and can't wait to get my hands on one. The colors, strap and caseback are a few of my favorite things, but overall I really think it's amazing.

Many people have said "for that price you can get a Pepsi or almost get a Daytona" except you probably can't get either of those, AND they are going for completely different targets.

Yeah I think I read this is not a limited production piece on their site. Can't find it now.

I like the colors but I also am a sucker for white dial and blue accents. Would need to see one first though before committing.

Yeah.. I don't know, I find it gimmicky and bit cheesy. I wouldn't wear one. To each their own.

I think its awesome, I for one appreciate what Omega did by not making it limited. Not only does it rival the 45th in looks but it should bring down the secondary market price of the 45th considerably in my opinion. I don't really think any argument citing "gimmick" holds water because the 45th is super gimmicky in its own right with the comic speech bubble and snoopy being lumed. Plus the gimmick of the 50th is cool as heck.

I absolutely love it and can't wait to add it to my collection. The strap, the colors and the caseback are all very unique and really cool.

Same here. But hey I guess it’s a cool story and a fun piece. Sometimes that’s enough.

I like it. However it is too expensive for me. Will wait for the movement to trickle into the regular Speedy Pro.

i don't like it because I'M LOVING IT........ it's an amazing piece for sure, very creative and with the upgrade 3861 movement that you can't go wrong and that case back is totally a killer.

NASA still awards the silver snoopy award each year to outstanding astronauts. Normally I wouldn't be a huge proponent of cartoon characters on watches but this actually has some history behind it.

I like the 45 more than this one, but the 45 is out of my price range. This one will suffice, and I have registered interest at the local OB and Tourneau.

Let’s see how long it takes to actually get a call for one.
