It’s a tool watch that looks great with a suit. A lot of people say a sub works great with a suit but I have always found it out of place. This was my solution.

Appreciate your input. 6.5" flat wrist here, IMHO the 39mm would just be too big on me, the lugs would cover my wrist. I think Rolex made a big mistake dropping the 36 Explorer, granted for lots of guys it is too small, but for a whole lot of others, the 39 is too big. This is somewhat an article of clothing, what other clothes are one size fits all?

After many years of lusting for a 1016, I finally pulled the trigger last week. Bracelet is en route so rocking it on the NATO for now. Love this thing... 1975, good patina, nice case... sits so well on the wrist.

Looking for help. My new explorer doesn't come with easylink? I checked all my spare links they're just the regular full links. This can't be normal right? Just trying to confirm before I go blasting at the AD.

Well actually my father got a new one from a big AD in Hong Kong. He was showing it to me and I noticed there wasn't an easylink. It's just a full link attached under the clasp that pivots.

Edit: Nevermind. Thank you at least I now know it's not normal. I'm guessing the AD removed the easy link to remove the adjacent full link and forgot to put it reattach the easy link? I can't think of any other reason. Told my father to call AD.

I just ordered my 214270 Mk1 after weeks of deliberation between the Mk1 and Mk2. I don't have buyers remorse yet, so that's a good sign...right?
There is just something about the way the light plays off of those white gold 3-6-9 numbers.
