Why would Eric ku lie about something like this. Obviously there are some variations in bezel colors.

This is very interesting......perhaps the first batch of bezel inserts were destined for the old WG BLROs and since they weren’t great sellers they had some laying around that they wanted to utilize?

There are varying shades of green for the 16610LV insert....
Ill get a side-by-side but this was one of the first at my AD (not mine) purchased in July... It definitely looks lighter in color than mine purchase in September... It will be interesting because if they are identical after all, it only goes to show how the mind and lighting can alter reality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Could be true. But I could put two BLNRs in the same shot and easily get two different shades of blue, so I'm skeptical.

Think the side by side by side variation shot is pretty definitive. Otherwise someone went to a whole lot of trouble to give that shot that effect (if not doctored that is)

If Eric claims it, I believe it. He knows his sh*t better than probably any of us.

126710BLRO Two Versions?
No one is saying lighting doesn’t change the color. Unless we have can get more pictures of the supposed two versions in the exact same light then we can’t prove either or. There’s only one picture in here posted by a member with watches in the same exact light and they definitely look different to me. I’m still waiting for more pictures though. Here is the other looks with flashlight, the colour on the left hand (MK2) is definitely darker than the right hand (MK1).

On another note...could Rolex have done this, of course, they change things all the time saying anything. Like when they changed the flat blue dial of the two tone Submariner back to the sunburst blue color. But this is honestly a non issue. You'll never have both in the store to compare with to chose and if the AD calls, you won't have anything to compare with except pictures. When the AD pulls it out from the back because you finally got the call, raise your hand if you'll say, "I don't want it because I think this is the older bezel color configuration based off what this post on instagram says , but thank you for offering". |

The older version looks like the one from the white gold BLRO. Perhaps Rolex used up an old batch before a slight change in the process.

126710BLRO Two Versions?
Well that settles it right? There does seem to be two versions. Interesting thread where some people refuse to believe their eyes and think Rolex “don’t do things like this”. Rolex does what they want sometimes with or without rhyme or reason. It’s happened before and will continue to occur in the future As to the pic, i certainly have the more darker tone bezel (top one) for my BLRO that I got in Dec Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
