Bluesy, dress up or dress down both awesome.

Hulk is a cool watch, but I can't imagine wearing a suit or tux with it.

Don't worry about resell value if you know you'll keep it for years to come. Leave investments to stocks/properties etc etc

116610LV.... the green dial + full brushed SS bracelet go so nicely together.

...oh, and today it's not that easy to get a 116613LB either.. In the UK these retail new for £10,350. A mint pre-owned 2017 full set on watchfinder is currently £10,850.. £500 over retail for used (I wouldn't pay that either and I'm glad to have that box ticked already..).

I doubt anyone would buy from watchfinder, prices are ridiculously higher than other grey dealers.what's their edge?

I saw both colours in 2 AD windows recently.
Don’t go grey and pay over list for a TT Sub......that’s bonkers.

For a one and only the LVc, I love the dial as much as the blue sunburst and I'd rather have gold for my second watch. In the UK the LVc is probably impossible now unless you go grey and at 10-11K that is very hard to swallow.

LVc for me, I’m not a fan of any amount of yellow gold.

Not a fan of either, but if I did buy one, it would be the Hulk.

Have you tried a gold watch? Once you have you will never go back. Gold is king. I used to be exactly like that. Now 90% of all my watches are either Full YG, Full RG or TT.

Both are great choices. If it will be your one and only, the LV is more discreet, but if you have no problem handling the TT LB's stand out factor, i'd go for the latter.

Hulk vs Bluesy

That’s a tough one. They’re both amazing watches.

Oh boy, I have owned both. Here is the real world reality of living with these two watches:
Let’s forget what these are going for as it means nothing. The Hulk is just coming into its popularity after 10 years and the Bluesy has been out for decades so these watches are plotting a different history. Both watches hold their value and that’s all you need to know.

I have worn a Bluesy for 19 years and a LVC for 2 years. Both these watches will attract the same type of personality. These are NOT wall flower watches looking to be stealth so you obviously want a watch that “pops”. Let’s be honest about this as there is nothing wrong with some bling on your wrist. All things being equal, the Bluesy pops more because it has PM and the yellow gold and sunburst blue dial screams. The Hulk pops for a all SS diver but won’t compete without any pm on it. The Hulk is easier to live with as it has a all brushed SS bracelet/clasp and that hides scratches better than PCL but then again, brushed SS doesn’t “pop” like pcl so there is your trade off. As far as function, they are equal as I have taken the Bluesy diving all the time as well as the Hulk. In Rolex world, gold does not compromise a watches ability to be tough. One could argue you are getting more watch for the money with the Bluesy because it has PM and not riding any temporary popularity.
In my world I though of the Hulk as a all SS Bluesy alternative. I like bling on my Rolex and tend to get bored with stealth models as my personality is more “type A”. I don’t worry about matching a watch with cloths as all Rolex models get a free pass like a woman’s canary yellow engagement ring. If you want ultimate bling, then get the Bluesy as PM always trumps SS in this catagory. If your not a gold person but still want some bling in your diver then go for the Hulk. There is no bad choice here other than feeling you compromised on your personal style. Just go for what you really want and forget any forum pressure.

Here is what a 19 year old Bluesy looks like after a routine service so don’t worry about scratching the 18k pcl.

Here is the Hulk doing it’s job.

The gold and blue combo will last 1000s of years just like ancient Egypt times.

bluesy for me. I like blue over green. It's just too much green for me. Not to take away from owners of it, it's just not MY thing.

Bluesy nicer than Hulk but Hulk harder to buy for good price and Bluesy available all day everyday.

If only they were other options to choose if this is all we've got the i'll go with the Hulk, i think the blue is just too flashy and eye catchy for me.

As opposed to us being Hulk fans so we couldn't possibly be genuine with our answer.

I personally don't like the 116610LV AKA Hulk and
my thinking is if your going to get a SS diver may as welll
get the 116610 LN. Even better a SD43 new Red Sea Dweller.

The Bluesy takes a certain personality or mindset if you will.
Yes the Bluesy is a fantastic watch and is very versatile but
you have to be ok with it's POP...!!!
Not everyone will notice but it does display Rolex at it's finest....
It's an icon in it's own right... The hulk still has a way to go...

It was my daily for years and I still enjoy it...

All that? get what you like , it's your money not ours...
What are you going to enjoy seeing on your wrist everyday?

Same experience here, was offered the Hulk by my AD and loved the dial so went for it. Not long after, I just could not stand the sight of that green bezel! I like the dial still, but the bezel is a bit hate it or love it I think.

I have a Hulk and it's still my favourite watch in the world. I now have a Bluesy on order. I think they will compliment each other nicely in my collection. As things stand now, I'd Hulk it if I had to choose. But once the Blusey has been acquired, sized and worn for real, I might think differently - although I doubt it.

So much for me. I can't tell anyone else what they like.
