The power to weight ratio is close to my lighter Elise S1 MMC with 165 Horse power. Here is my 1968 Lotus seven, on track. Don't remember what Rolex I had that day, but as I only wear Rolex ... (and a 79270 Tudor) And yes, I went ahead of this more recent and more powerful (165 HP) Yellow turbo Elan M100 during the whole track session. The seven has a modest 84 HP engine, but it weights 550 Kg! The half of the Elan M100. And I have a lot of fun with this sporty classic. The M100 was driven by a friend of mine. I also had a bue M100 in the past. For those who never tried a light car, you cannot imagine how quick and reactive they are. I had 2 Porsche, notably a 944 Turbo S. Yes the top speed of a car such as the 944 Turbo S is higher. But for fun on short track or on curvy roads, you cannot beat a Lotus. |

Also it's the Sport Elise (1 of 50) with track bits like Ohlins suspension and toe link brace, etc. The Suspension is the highlight for me. Flawless handling. |

Now I remember having read about your car here (at TRF).
Considering its weight it must indeed be a rocket! Do you go on track? My Elise S1 is also prepared for the track with Quantum suspension, a lowered steering rack, bigger antiroll bar, semi-slick tires, larger wheels and 2 steering wheels (one red, one black) from Lotus Motorsport, Schrott safety harness, fire extinguisher, etc. And the PTP kit with the rare VHPD head and ancillaries bringing 165 HP instead of 120. Kept the genuine ratios for the gear box, though. Made lot of track sessions, for about10 years, when I was between 40 and 50. More rarely now, waiting at 60 to have more time (once retired?) to remember the good old days... It is a forum of what? I forgot... |

My almost never clean daily. My weekend car. Use to keep buying race cars but the family wouldn’t fit. So family 523hp race car sort of. Any apparently I don’t have a picture of it, but our typical family hauler is a 2018 GMC Sierra.

I like Mini's, they have done me well for a couple of years. Atm I have a Cooper 5 door and the missus has a 3 door Cooper. I ordered a Countryman in Enigmatic Black (which is really blue, go figure) about 2 months ago and should pick it up shortly. Not in the same league as some of the fabulous cars in this thread, but I have put a lot of options in this one and am getting really excited now.

Sometimes I use the beater car with the beater watch
Sometimes I use the beater car with the Rolex Sometimes I use the 911 with the Rolex and rarely I'll use the 911 with a beater watch :)

Bas, I miss our Volvo
We drove a 240 DL for about 26 years. Such a classic. Up until recently (I’m talking maybe pre 2010), you’d see a Volvo 240 in a many movies, it was was just that car ... On ours all we did was change the tires (and brake pads as I’m sure you’re accustomed) and minor repairs. I think the odometer turned 600,000 KM, when it finally succumbed to rust, but it still ran strong. Thanks for the memories |

I do need to stay on top of rust though, but that is probably the case with any car of this age. Was yours so badly rusted because of the cold winters and thus all the salt on the road? |

What Car Do You Drive With Your Rolex
Still driving since I got it new 2014 BMW M6 Competition.
Just had the bumpers repainted and the rims refreshed as I had a little curb rash on them. I honestly Love this car and have considered getting something new but just can't seem to do it. It really is a Great Daily Driver!
