Tudor Sub 76100 Prices

I was offered a nice Tudor Sub 76100 with the lollipop hour hand for $5,500 which I thought was on the high side. I started checking the on eBay and chrono 24 and was quite surprised to see that prices for this model have gone up and is at par already with the snowflakes.

Depending on the condition, I would have gobbled that up in a heartbeat. Not only is the Lollipop a transitional handset from 1984 (my birth year), but I feel like it's been several months or a year since the prices started climbing above the $5000-7500 range. I don't see any for that price, and you probably could have negotiated even a little more.

The 76100 has long been one of my favorites and I often thought it was overlooked relative to its short production and unique hour hand. If condition was very good / original, $5,500 is a very good price.

The owner of a $240,000 Rolex GMT is complaining about Tudor prices? Help us to understand

I don't think it's really complaining, and how is his ownership of a 6542 relevant to this thread? No one knows his finances other than him. I saw his question as simply that: a question as to value and current pricing of a vintage Tudor reference. Value is something we should all consider, whether it's a quarter million dollar Rolex GMT or a Seiko SKX.

Also, I would venture out and say that the going rate for a bakelite 6542 isn't anywhere near $240k...

Tudor Sub 76100 Prices

Did you end up purchasing it? If you could get a genuine cyclops replacement that would be perfect, and still decent priced for market value.

That is a beauty looks to be a no-brainer for that price.

It’s a sick watch. You won’t have trouble selling if you don’t like it.

I think it’s great.

I turned down a pristine blue-dial version of this at 3 grand US a few years ago. #watchregrets The six/nine o'clock markers and the lollipop hand are absolutely iconic.
