Rolex Jubilee Presentation case 1950s

Presentation case from the 1950s, with a little orange instruction card about how to convert the box into a cigarette case, has anyone seen that instruction card before?

Also a nice little letter from Rolex, from when they did reply to customers questions.

That's very nice...thank you for sharing!

I have plenty of Rolex cardboard "cigarette cards", but they're for the cheap steel watches..!

No problem Mike! I've seen the cardboard one as well, just not the plastic (however I am new to these watches).

From my limited research I am guessing this colour box is for the PM watches?

I don't see the dual compartment boxes often. I have one that still has the wood piece to create the compartments. The notch in the middle of the box is where the wood piece is placed.

I have never seen the plastic card which is very cool.

Here's a thread about Gammeter's, where it seems the watch was sold. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=483355

That's good info thanks! It has a card in the back like a balsa wood thing.

I saw that thread, I've printed the pictures and I'll put it with the watch, I'm not sure how valuable the history of the watch is, but I think it's cool, tracking where it came from and who owned it before me.

It's also interesting that the manager's name Mr Richard appears on your letter and on this 1936 envelope in post #39, though maybe a different person as I believe there were at least two Richard brothers working for Gammeter's during that timeframe.
