Feedback on Rikki at Time Care inc
Hey Everyone,
Rikki quoted me a really good price on some casework I’m looking to have done. Specifically some laser welding. I know he has some very good feedback on these forums. Anyone use Rikki for laser welding? Any before and after pictures? His price is very good, well below what I was quoted from another company that does solid laser welding work. He fixed a nasty dent on a Submariner I sent him and the work was top notch. Can't sent pics right now as I am traveling but you should be safe with him, I assure you he stands behind his work. He is a CW21 watchmaker so is not like you are taking the watch to the mall battery change guy...

Haha, that wasn’t my concern. His quote was a third of what other highly recommended independent watch servicers quoted. 2 were in the same ballpark (almost identical) and rikkis was an outlier. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn’t too good to be true. I appreciate your feedback! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Rik does great work. I've not had him laser weld anything, however, so I can't speak to that exactly.
What you could do is ask him for photos of past work that he's done. He'll gladly provide it. |

He has serviced a few of my watches in the past, top notch guy and he is only 45 min from me also. Can’t answer your question on laser welding but he is one of the best on the forums & comes highly recommended.

I haven’t decided on what I’m going to do as of yet. The more I wear the watch the less noticeable the area I need laser welded becomes. Rikki was by far the lowest priced of the 3 places that I contacted. |

That'll teach them Rikki!
You know I've always suspected that many places overcharge for this repair technique just because it has the word laser in the name.
