AP 15500 Steel

I have the opportunity to purchase the AP15500 steel in either the grey or black dial (not blue as it is by allocation only) from an AP Boutique. My heart is with the grey at the moment. Can fellow members who have the AP 15500 comment if you are happy with the watch and how comfortable is the watch on your wrist compared to the oyster bracelet. Do you enjoy wearing it more compared to say the submariner and daytona? Thanking all in advance.

Do it, the 15500 is a stunning watch in grey. It will look bigger on you wrist than a Daytona.

You will certainly notice a big step change on the finishing level with AP.

AP is miles ahead of Rolex. I just picked up 15500 grey and it is mesmerizing! The only thing I wish they had was a glidelock like the sub.

15500 in a grey dial is an amazing watch. Do it.

I’m awaiting a 15500 grey dial. Expecting it this or next week. I also had the challenge of choosing between black and grey. Initially was thinking black as it’s a safer bet, but after assessing my collection, I have too many black dial watches and thought the grey would be a better piece to add.

I have a 15400 blue and similar to you, a GMT Pepsi and Daytona and they wear pretty differently. The RO is definitely bigger on the wrist but just as comfortable to me as any of the Rolex. The bracelet and watch is beautifully finished so with that, I'd say marks and nicks tend to show up more easily. I think that's why I havent been wearing my RO a lot recently(been more active recently and tend to just grab a Rolex on the way out instead) but when I do put on the RO, you realize again its a special watch.

I think you should go for it, I saw the AP a couple of weeks ago and I just had to fall in love with it.

Generally yes I enjoy wearing an AP more than a Rolex across the board. Go for it

The AP 15500 is the closest thing to a perfect reference IMO as a lux/sports watch gets.
