Awesome as usual. I'm in the market for one. Missed out on a minty 17000 SS... But have my eye on a TT 17013. I love the Oysterquartz... Not sure why they're frowned upon. Thanks for sharing, inspiring.

I had a SS OQ then I traded it up for a tt R serial Thunderbird. No regrets. It was a good watch but the tt T-bird was awesome and not bulky.

Fantastic, Jocke. A really interesting project and fine photo's too.
Those 'ultra micro' shots are fabulous. What lens did you use?
How many hours went into the re-build?

Please pardon my ignorance and curiosity, but where did you learn all the
watch engineering stuff? Are you a professional watchmaker or is it 'just' a hobby? Everything you take on seems to be done with such great confidence and expertise. You would probably scoff at that remark, but, I suppose, it's the usual story of someone with a gift for a particular task, making it look easy.
I made a good living as a technical illustrator for many, many years (pre-computer graphics) people would sometimes come into my studio and ask similar questions about my work. They would often ask how long a particular piece had take 'to do'. "About 25 years" was my usual (smiling) reply.

Thanks for sharing your work.

I've never been a big fan of the OysterQuartz so I didn't know much about it.

Thanks for the terrific Tour d' Quartz!
