Thoughts? Bubbleback with funky dial

Been contemplating getting my first bubbleback and stumbled across this one.

Given the state of the dial is this a horrible idea? I kind of dig the patina but am unsure whether this makes sense.

If it speaks to you and the price is right, I'd vote in favor. I won't overpay for "patina" like that, but there are examples in my own collection that are less than stellar or far from museum grade that I wear with joy and pleasure.
