Beautiful 1967 Fuschia GMT

Great example of a GMT that came in for service.

The case is in great shape and is almost untouched...but the top of the lugs. The owner at that time wanted the bark look which was popular with the gold president's. I was able to just ever so lightly remove the bark finish and leave the rest of the case alone.

The story and characteristics of each and ever watch never seems to get old.

I believe the photos do indeed include some that show the watch after the "magic."

It did...Actually that is a good question...I'd say that out of 20 older sport styled watches, that they all pass aside from 1...maybe 2, but it's rare. Now if the gaskets and worn external parts are ignored, then obviously the odds of passing is slim.

Wow I guess I am kind of shocked at the number. Still you wouldn’t recommend a swim in the ocean with one of these babies on, would ya?

Speaking for myself, I wear my 72 red sub in the ocean., but then I can act quick if there were to be an emergency.

Guess what I'm trying to say is that if the watch is routinely serviced and properly water proof tested, then I say wear it the way it was designed.

On the other hand....its an expensive watch...
