Wrong endlink, how to get bracelet off????
Hi all, if one were to put 455 end links on a watch with no lug holes, is there a way to get the bracelet off without damaging either the watch or the bracelet?”
So here’s what’s going, back in July 2019 I bought a TT jubilee bracelet from eBay, with the intention of buying a watch head only later on. I later acquire the watch head and found I like it better on a leather strap, so I decided to sell the jubilee bracelet. The guy who bought the bracelet is now claiming the bracelet is not entirely genuine and that there is fitment issues with his watch. The pictures he sent me, I could see the rehaut right away and could tell that he’d put my bracelet on a watch that had no lug holes. Further discussion with other members on TRF, it seems the watch itself may be fake. Now I’m concern he’s going to send back a fake bracelet, claiming it was mine. Here’s a pic of the watch he put the bracelet on. |

455 end pieces are for early 5 digit models with holes. I.e 16013 16253. That looks to be a 6 digit.

One would need to damage the end piece to remove but it wont damage the watch if done correctly

Thanks Mike for the input. Yea he took my 1980s bracelet and put it onto his no-lug holes watch. Now he wants to return the bracelet, claiming it’s not “all authentic.”

Of course the buyer claims he was able to take it off without damage or modifications to the bracelet ....

Its prob true. I dont think both sides of spring bar will line up on a 6 digit case. One side will click in. The other side will dangle.
