BLNR for D-Blue?
Currently have a Sub LV and will be adding a BLRO when my AD gets one in stock.
Considering trading my BLNR for the D-Blue (ref#126660). What do you think and has anyone gone a similar path or considered it? Thanks in advance for your thoughts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would keep the BLNR. That’s just me.

I would keep the BLNR. The DSSD Blue is “easier” to get and is currently selling at close(r) to MSRP than the BLNR. My 2 cents. In my opinion the DSSD blues is one of the better buys in the current market.

Appart from black and blue, 2 completely different timepieces...
I would say both if you can. If you don’t like your BLNR anymore and fell in love with the d-blue go for it. Otherwise, take your time to see what you really think about both, it is a very personal choice. |

I think blnr pairs nicely with your lv and would keep it.

I would personally absolutely keep to BLNR. Acknowledging my bias for full disclosure but the size is more timeless, it’s more versatile can pair well with an outfit, GMT function more useable than diving to insane depths (unless you’re a pro diver obviously and might functionally use it).

I love the DSSD but not enough to trade the BLNR.
BLNR+BLRO somehow adds to the appeal of each, really the best 1 model pair going (modern) |

One would have to make sure the scale and heft of the DSSD works on their wrist before making that commitment.

I have owned a BLNR since 2016 and I’m waiting for a BLRO as well.
Just picked up a D-BLUE the other day from my AD and the watch is next level. I don’t think there is a wrong decision here — just make sure you always have at least one GMT in your collection (BLRO or BLNR)! |

If it was an even trade---yes. I have a GMT BLRO but don't wear it much. Mostly wear my SD43 and D-Blue. So, I'm a little bias. The 40mm seems kinda small on me.
Either way enjoy! |

I would not do the trade as the values are off unless you are getting a few thousand back. I bought a DSSD JC and even though I had owned a few of the black dial DSSD's years before, I found the watch not proportional. I have a 7.5-7.75 wrist depending on the weather and found my SD43 to be the perfect fit and it sits on my wrist so much better. Moved on and will not go back to the DSSD line. Good luck.

The JC is a great piece dispite what people say about the proportions. In fact i think the proportions make the watch and I've not got that big a wrist. Even though its my favourite watch I wouldnt trade my BLNR for it. I would save and try to get it in addition to the BLNR

I have the BLNR, BLRO and the D-Blue. If you are referring to the updated 2018 D-blue then I would say yes as it is a better balanced watch than the previous D-blue. It is big though, so only go for it if you have the wrist to pull it off. If I was to sell one of mine it would be the BLNR as I rarely wear it as I have the BLRO - the D-blue is a keeper in my eyes but do what is right for you (and feels right!)

I would do it if it's a even exchange. At some point Rolex will be back at normal pricing.

BLNR is much more versatile than the oversized D-Blue.

I agree with both of these users. The BLNR is a very well-rounded, well-proportioned watch. I think the DSSD is huge & it doesn't fit me. You might have tree trunk wrists, so it might work better on you. My advice would be to keep the BLNR (I don't know if I'd ever part with that one) and hold out 'til you can get the DSSD. Maybe sleep on the idea of getting the DSSD, also, to make sure you're "sold" on it.
