I have the 40mm Explorer II polar and recently bought the GMT Master IIc LN. They have similar functionality, however they look and wear different. The polar wears smaller and more under the radar kind of watch. Due to the bezel, it looks for stainless steel tool watch and to me it looks less like a Rolex.

The GMT is like your typical Rolex like a Subc. It is more shiny with PCL bracelet.

I've had both, prefer GMT, but Polar Exp II is a great watch.

I looked hard at getting a Polar, but it’s the GMT II for me by a long stretch.

The ExpII is impressively thin for a sports model. You can explore anything, even the inside of a suit. Plus the white dial with the black lacquer paint is spectacular and unique to the professional models.

I have both and love both. When I got my GMT I abandoned my polar for a couple weeks. When I put my polar back on I realized how awesome of a watch it is. The GMT almost feels a little small but looks so good. The both have their purpose.

Wow that’s really saying a lot Seth

I’ve been jonesing for an EXP 2 lately, but I can’t quite decide if it’s only because I haven’t gotten the call for the blro

GMT. It just looks better, at least that's my taste. Both watches have their own followers. But for me, I just like the colours and the bezel more on the GMT.

I posted awhile ago on this thread how l loved my Polar as my one and only Gmt. My AD called me about three weeks ago to come and take a look at an available Blnr. Well you see how that worked out.

As you can see from my signature, I have a polar ExpII and recently acquired a GMTIIc LN. Both have the same 3186 in my case, but aside from the movement they are entirely different watches.

Both are great watches. I prefer the GMT due to the bezel, the PCLs for extra bling and I like the history of the GMT II.
