Help picking a watch

Hello gents, this thread has proven quite helpful and with plenty of pictures!

I’m looking for my next watch, 10k to spend. I have a few “classics”, OP and DJ. Looking for something that will hold decent value, doesn’t have to be new, goes with dress and casual wear clothing, bigger than 36mm.

I know it’s my choice but interested in hearing from the more learned.

I would think you’re a prime candidate for a SubDate.....or an Explorer II. Both aren’t the dressiest around but can be dressed up in the right scenarios....

I’d consider Sub or Explorer

16710, so versatile, jubilee 3x inserts . You should be able to find a nice set for 10K with a little patience

the natural succession in my opinion is a Sub of some sort. However, I would also like to suggest a massively underrated not-so-usual-suspect, the YM SS, especially with the blue dial. The case of the YM in my opinion is better proportioned, less bulky, and the rounded sides of the case make it dressier than a Sub. Try one in person, you will not be disappointed. The one factor to consider though, is that the platinum bezel on the YM will definitely be much less resilient than the ceramic bezel on subs.

I, for one, have a black sub. But if I were to pick a substitute for it, it would be the YM.

I would go with the Submariner ND or Date, a Polar Explorer II or a standard Explorer 39mm. All classic watches and any of them could be a corner stone of a nice collection.
