White gold pepsi polished or not polished?

Hello im wondering if you guys think this is polished or not?
Its my first white gold or precious metal watch in general so im not sure. The edges look super sharp but as you can see on the side of the case there are strides going up which i dont have on any ss piece as well as soft looking dings and scratches. Last pic is a side by side with an unpolished gmt
Thank you!

Almost any modern watch bought second hand has been touched up by the seller. And in your case not a very good job either.

I find the easiest way to figure it out, is to take a picture of the backside of the lugs.If it still has that little edge the catches the light in a certain way.. Chances are it’s never been polished. At least from my experience.

It’s had an interesting life considering the marks on the SEL that can’t be removed without more aggressive intervention than it has already experienced.

Did you already buy it?

Definitely polished. I personally don’t mind a proper polish, but this still needs one.

If you've bought it, there are places that can refinish that to factory. If not, walk away.

I try not to make multiple replies to a thread but we never learned if the OP was considering this piece or had already bought it.
I’m apalled that a reseller would offer up a $40K watch with such a hack polish job. I can see not wanting to reshape the links but making a pitted surface shiny while still leaving little pinholes looks horrible. The striations left on the lugs also looks horrible.
OP, please report back what your status is on this watch. If you’ve already bought it take it to someone competent who can fix it. If you haven’t bought it, look elsewhere.

Hello the problem is these pictures when uploaded got uploaded in super bad quality so it looks alot worse than it is if theres a way i can contact you to send you the actual pictures i think youll have a different opinion. I have taken this watch to my AD he said not polished took it to 4 watch makers 2 said no 2 said if it was polished it was done really well but couldnt be definitive that it was polished. I also own a few Rolexes the shape of the case and sharpness looks perfect

That's not polishing, it's angle-grinding.

It's so worn-down it looks like an Omega.

I've seen IWCs with more structural integrity.

Strap a bar of soap to your wrist and stand in a hot shower for thirty minutes.

I don’t even think it looks that bad shows what I know lol. The dings on the endlink are pretty obvious to me.

Yeah, I don't know what this group's threshold for a "good" polish is.. if that even exists. I have seen MUCH MUCH worse polishing jobs than this, with the lugs and crown guards worn down, edges softened, finishes all wrong. This looks polished, but not as absurdly bad as it's being made out to be, IMHO

Same. Doesn’t look that bad. Nothing that can’t be sorted out.

Op - awesome watch! Congrats if you purchased it!

There are very few marks on it, of course it's been polished.

Wear it for a month and see what it will look like

A pre owned watch with no marks on it, you’re asking if it has been polished?

If you can't tell, what difference does it make?

If you want to be sure, buy a new watch from a Rolex/Tudor boutique.

If it's pre-owned, any thing is possible.
