I like both pieces but I'd keep the Nautilus, love the design, gold brush and the strap is top notch.

I’d love 5205 cause it’s hard to read. I’d move the 12 if it were Wg blue so it’s not simply discounting the AC

I love the 5205. I like the way the info is presented; it is easy to read at a glance and I prefer its symmetrical dial.

5712 is so much nicer and more elegant imo. Keep it.

Keep the 5205 but add a steel 5712 instead.

I would sell both and get a 5711 or 12 on bracelet instead. If you are set on selling just one I'd keep the 5712.

I’d keep the 5712 but I’m biased towards sports and never liked the layout of the sub dial on Pateks current AC.

At least get the 12 if not a 11R, too much to give up for an 11 for me.

X2

I have the 5205g with blue dial and love the dial layout and legibility.

I would sell both. I had both of those watches also at the same time.

My rationale is simple , the 5712R its a beautiful watch unfortunately it’s bezel it’s a scratch magnet that will deter me from any joy while wearing it. 5205R has the beautiful contrast of the black dial with rose gold , a looker for sure but unfortunately I feel that these AC are really an in between piece, a piece that as time goes by is harder and harder to find a market for them. A hard piece to move that’s for sure.

Now business wise is smarter to sell 5205R, because at least 5712R has a market currently

Would it not be the other way around? Sell the more in demand item? Unless you expect the market for 5712R to strengthen further?

No I don't think the 5712R would go up in price in the future, what I am saying that if you have a buyer for the 5205 sell it now and keeping the 5712 while you enjoy it works the same as money in the bank.....kind of smart if you ask me

Cheers

JorgeCCW's pictures was a huge enabler for me to buy the 5205r in black. Thanks.

I still love it and just think it is more beautiful than 5712r - also a great looking watch.

I am not bothered about the Nautilus hype (maybe slightly regret that I didn't buy one or two in 2013-14 when I considered it) - but I never truly loved the Nautilus model - neither as a sport or dress watch.

I am neither bothered if the 5205r is hard to sell - because I love the watch and won't sell it.
For me the hottest modern patek dress watch in the hottest combination - black and rose gold.

Fine that most people think Nautilus is more beautiful. Respectfully disagree.

Sell the 5212R

Never liked the Nautilus, period. Too much bulky metal...there's not enough dial, with too much case. Clunky-looking. Plus the 5212 always looked off-balance to me. And finally, you'll get more $$ for the 5212. Then, you could buy a perpetual Langematik. Or a Daytona.
