Mkt is still softer and inventory is still not moving


It’s like when stocks spike with news and then after a day or 2 the spike due to covering kind of goes away

I think the 5711a white is gorgeous and i very much enjoyed owning it for a year - however imho it will always play second fiddle to the blue. There is something so spectacular of blue on steel.

It's like the 3710 comet - good value retention and a gorgeous reference but it ain't a 3700a or a 3712a. Same thing with white dial 15202st versus blue 15202 for the Royal Oak.

Man this really sucks. I have been on a waitlist with a local AD who assured me I would get one this year. I don’t care for the blue dial oddly but I do want a blue 15202.
I was afraid this would happen. It makes me dislike PP. I was mad enough when the price went from $24k to $30k and now it’s discontinued. I mean WTF?

For me I guess it’s time to chase another grail. It sucks because I really saw the white 5711 as an end of collection piece. My current collection includes white ceramic 116500, white 116520, and a black 15400. I don’t have any Patek’s and now I probably won’t. I’m really kicking myself for passing up a 5167 at retail from an AD because I wanted to hold out for the white 5711

Same situation as me last year when the gray 5726 got discontinued. However, they released the blue 5726 in Mar which I like even more. Sometimes things happen in a good mysterious way.
