Rolex 116610LV prices coming down in new year , future collectible???

Hi all,

I was in Mexico just got back and I went to multiple AD’s no one had a greenSub ceramic at all?

My question to you all is this a future collectible, will prices come down? Is Rolex going to stop production on this model or is it all hype and another ceramic Daytona situation? Does the serial number affect the price of this model or doesn’t that really matter?

CHEERS ALL HAppy NEW YEAR! Feliz Nuevo anos!

I’lll go on record and say the price won’t be going down. It might stabilize but the demand is still way out there. No one really knows but there are some signs I have observed that indicate my personal opinion.

I hope to pick one up sometime after April and hope Basel will have confirmed one way or another and fingers crossed the price comes down a little.

Purely internet watch forum hype and current lack of supply. Once Mother Rolex starts up production for the 2018 new year and stainless Subs start shipping to AD's, prices will return to normal. Granted, there is no guarantee the Hulk will still MSRP for 9050USD.

The gray market dealers prices have definitely come down in the last 30 days. It appears buyers are finally starting to smarten up and not pay "only" thousands above MSRP.

Nobody for will know what the future of the LVc is with regards to pricing or if it will be collectible. One thing for sure though is, it's very popular around here & one of my favorites.

A couple higher volume dealers have come down a little, but there are still quite a few over 10k, and one over 11k.

I think they’ll come down to earth in feb or March.

In July my AD offered me one for $8200 and all of a sudden demand exploded for a 7 years old reference. I think people are just buying into hype caused by temporary shortage. If it doesn’t get discontinued (likely won’t be), in a few months it’ll go back to normal and sit in displays awaiting discounts.

I wouldn’t pay over list for this.

I’m on the contrarian view that supply will be scarce in the new year. Not too hopeful that price will come down.

The prices at TRF sellers are going down - the hype decreasing?
