Tudor Black Bay Red and Blue - 1st Generation

Hello everyone. Just curious - my brother is about to pick up a used BB Red.

Now that the BB with in-house movement has been announced, how does it affect the value of the 1st generation BB Red and Blue?

Do you see them being desirable in the future given the maximum 3 year run?

Lol all there people asking the same questions over and over.forget value and buy what you like.the old bbs will not raise in value. If it does you will be over 60 years old lol and they will not be worth crazy money,at best they will retain there value

I do understand. My question was more about "desirability" and just the initial affect on the value - not as an investment.

Tudor subs and chronos have historically done really well in terms of value in the secondary market. There's no reason to think the BB's won't do the same.

Buy it right and you shouldn't lose money. Especially if you hold it a few years. I wouldn't be surprised if in 20 or so years, the values of the first generation BBs rival the prices of a 20 to 30 year old Tudor Sub. Only time will tell. In the meantime, buy and wear what you love regardless of cost.

Couldn't agree more! The BBN is super-nice watch and I have one but it's really not a watch to speculate on. I'm just hoping it depreciates less quickly / stabilizes before I have my eye on another watch, and need to liquidate the BBN to finance that purchase.

There have been a number of polls on the BB since the new intro. The Rose dials seem to still be in favor regardless of movement.

Just get the one you love. It will always be cheaper and "higher value" in the end because you won't flip it.
