Searching forums, excluded words

Hi,

(This applies to both regular and advanced searches.)

Is there a way to get a list of posts that that mention GMT?
That word, or non-word, is deleted from the searches I've tried.
Here's what I mean...

Search Words ======= Words Excluded ======= Words Searched
GMT ============= GMT ============= (none. try again)
GMT II ============= GMT II ============= (none. try again)
GMT II two color bezel = GMT II two ========== color bezel
red black =========== red ================ black

The same is true when searching for an exact phrase. Common words are deleted from the search.

Search Words ==== Words Excluded ===== Words Searched
"GMT II" ======== GMT II ============ (none. try again)
bezel "two colors" ==two ============== bezel colors

Can the excluded word list be edited? And certain non-words be added to the exclude formula?

Maybe GMT is too vague... I used "1675' and '16710' and it yielded multiple pages for hits.

True enough and probably more than I care to read.

I did that--well, 16710--once I learned there were underlying model numbers. I just find it funny that GMT and GMT II is an excluded term from any search... on a Rolex forum.

This is the one I'm on now: How would you phrase a search to find discussions about the history of its different colored bezels?

I "think" it is excluded because it yields all GMT hits including non Rolex, which will make your search even harder.
