Posting For Sale photos with name beside the watch

Sometimes photos can be borrowed from somewhere when For Sale posts are done. how about have a piece of paper beside the watch, with the info such as date and name of the user selling on it?

For example, like this one:

Well, thanks for the suggestion but I'm inclined to say that such a restriction would be too much. However, there is nothing stopping a prospective purchaser asking a seller for a photo with such writing in it.
The problem with a new rule as suggested is:
1. Fakers could still get a real watch (say in a pawn brokers shop) and photograph it;
2. Fakers could take one watch photo with the signature and then have others which do not.
3. It might be thought that such a rule could provide the buyer with confidence and of providing some security to the buyer, but nothing could be further from the truth, I wouldn't like to engender that false notion of confidence by providing such a rule.
4. It would involve more moderation on the classifieds section.

The bottom line is that prospective buyers must be vigilant with ensuring the bona fides of any seller and vice versa. This involves quite a lot depending on what risks one is or is not prepared to take

Maybe 15 posts is not enough to have the ability to post in for sale forum. If you look at recent culprits they had a very low number of posts. I mean the higher the requested posts the higher the chances that swindler would move on somewhere else. I mean if someone is ready to stick around for more than, let's see, 100-150 posts there is a better chance that he/she is legit. Most are looking for a quick unload, and the time required to post 100 or 150 times would be to time consuming. Also you can get a "feel" for someone after they posted that amount of time. Unless, of course, posts are limited to, ooohhhss and ahhhhh's. Anyways you get the picture. Something to consider. Just trying to help noting more.

There is another watch for sale right now by someone who posted it for sale on his 16th post. His posts 1-15 were pretty unsubstantial. I am not comfortable with that. None of my business though. Its the moderator's call.

On other forums I usually post the FS thread, then take pictures of the item in front of the monitor with the FS thread in the background, and then post those pics. But Steve is right all that does is "prove" I have the item at the time of posting. It offers no guarantee that the item will be delivered.

I trade mostly with low prices item on other forums, I use Heatware @ heatware.com for a rating system. If someone has 20 feedback on heatware I know then usually ship what they are selling. However I will be buying my first Rolex from an AD. It is really hard (and pointless) to fake a CPU or stick of RAM, but selling a Rolex is much different from selling most things.
