The BLNR Gmt Owners' Club.

I see the BLNR/Batman is on its way to become a very successful model, so I guess it would be nice to have a place to gather our nicest pics of such a gorgeous watch.

A Lume shot:

How do think he kept that same Bat Time to tune in to that same Bat Channel?

Calling this watch Batman is an insult to the beautiful watch that it is.

You don't see Pateks or any other high end watches been called nicknames like Rolex users name their watches.

I think it is the youth here that have a fetish for cartoons. What's up with this "Batman" stuff? Does naming watches after cartoon/comic book characters make my red and blue GMT the Superman?

This could have been great, but your red and blue Gmt is already a Pepsi.
And naming a watch after soft drinks (Coke, Pepsi) is not worse or better indeed, it is just an humorous way for WISs to nickname their beloved watches.

Totally agree about the soft drinks or any other "pet" names. That is why - if you notice my post - I never called it that. It is a GMT and that's how I refer to it!

I do prefer the blue/black insert to the all black one, but as a GMT collector, I haven't warmed up to the new ceramics and don't see me getting one any time soon.

Same here, I would rather describe a Rolex watch with its reference number
and the model group it belongs...I dislike it when i hear Paul Newman
or Steve McQueen Or patrizzi dial or jan Claude Killy or what ever other name
is given to watches by auctioneers and sellers so they can cash-in by naming
their goods with the name of a favorite athlete, ex governor, actor, drink, diving co. etc.
On the other hand it is funny to see the names people baptize with most sport Rolex watches.
Anyway
The new blue/black ceramic bezel Rolex GMT ...is already a future classic

Let`s not use this thread to criticise a name people has used just for fun. There are bigger problems

Cheers!
