Finally! New look on my SkyDweller!

I had always admired the beauty and advanced movement on the SkyDweller since it was introduced, but was put off by the cost of being only available in precious metals, so when the SS version was announced, back in 2017, I called my dealer and ordered one right away.

I was able to get my blue dial SS SkyDweller in March of 2018, and I've loved every minute with it. But, I've also missed the beauty of having a SD with a leather strap.

The main problem was that there were no end-link available for it (and still aren't), but I kept searching for a solution.

The main problem is that the lug width of the SS SD is 22mm, as opposed to the gold models, which are 21mm.

The interesting part was that I also have a new 43mm SeaDweller, which also happens to have 22mm lug width.

So, I decided to see if the end links for the SeaDweller would work out for the SkyDweller, and to my surprise, they kind of do!

I say kind-of because the height is not perfect, If you look at the watch from the lugs, you can realize that the end-links do not reach all the way up to the command bezel, but then again, how many times do you look at your watch from that position?

So, here it is, my first attempt at having a leather strap on my SS SkyDweller!

Thoughts?

Never really cared for the endlink look with a strap, but to each their own. Good looking watch nonetheless !!

The leather isn't bad and pairs nicely with the blue. I never got the endlinks however.

I think that looks as good as one could hope for considering strap isn’t an option for that watch. It looks really good to me.

Thumbs down for me for several reasons, but then you did it for you so that's what matters.

I don’t hate it but I don’t love it. Definitely interesting I need more time to let this combo simmer

Not a fan of leather straps in general. Prefer metal or rubber.

It’s not for me... I’m afraid at all. However it’s your watch, if it’s what you want then enjoy! My only concern is the security, just wondering since it’s kind of jury-rigged, I would hate to have the lugs break or something while you are standing in a boat in the middle of a lake. Splash!!!!!

Gets a thumbs up from me , I like the blue/brown combination. Like most people are saying though, it's not about what others think, it's about what you like and want. Congrats, nice piece!

Yes the endlinks are the most necessary part of this because the length of the lugs leaves alot of open space if you didn't have end links and want to add a strap. Looks fantastic.

I don't like end links on leather or rubber they seem pointless.

It doesn't look too bad but there are far better options for playing around with straps, in particular Omegas.

Any wrist shots?
Not a fan of the end links but I quite like the combo, the brown pairs pretty well with the blue.
It's always nice to switch it up now and again.

I'm with the majority here that don't like the look of endlinks with a leather strap. The leather strap looks great though.

Same here. However, in this case, a blue strap might work better?
