Hi,

Try some UK ADs. I was quoted 6 months tops fairly recently.
DavidSW always comes highly recommended as well. |

I tried the Paris PP boutique as well as some UK Ads and was quoted different times but the least was 8 months. I ended up getting it through DavidSW.

I think to obtain a popular reference that has a wait list, it is best to take the personal approach of visiting an AD when possible to talk with a salesperson or manager. For ADs in distant countries, it may not always be practical to do so. Some ADs will have a wait list with several names and others will just say when we receive a new watch, we will sell it and not have a wait list. This is where the personal relationship can be helpful in finding one. There will be a wait no matter what. But it really depends on whether the salesperson will notify you when the AD receives one before calling another customer. If you have prior transaction with the AD, it will certainly enhance your odds, as opposed to being a random client who is interested in this watch.

The blue dial has long wait list. As for FS section here as suggested they are few and far between and rarely listed for sale so no not plenty to choose from. I can tell you when I got mine I called every single AD in USA and was about to give up when finally after 2 full days of rejection I got lucky and the dealer had one. It took a lot of time and many calls but certainly paid off! Just an extremely difficult watch to obtain--especially with blue dial.

Just out of curiosity, for those that purchase a Patek from a gray dealer, including one of the trusted sellers here, with your name on it, does the AD also have their name, stamp and signature on the certificate? Without this AD info, is the manufacturer warranty still valid? Depending on the discount you received from the gray seller, I suppose you may not care about the warranty. But if I was concerned about warranty, I would rather purchase a pre-owned with the original buyer's name on it with the date, AD name, stamp and signature on the certificate.

When I bought mine last year from one of the larger Patek dealers I was told they get 2-3 a year in each color.

That is good to know that an AD will sell a watch without filling out the buyers info when selling a watch to a gray dealer, but will complete the dealer portion of the certificate to allow the watch to be under warranty.

Most will have to wait for a 5711, blue especially. I bought my 5167a from George at govberg after visiting 3-4 patek ADs on various trips and being unable to find one, and was very happy with my service.
